Flight Doctor, West Africa
Our client UnitedHealthcare Global Medical are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified Doctors who have a post graduate certificate/diploma experience in emergency medicine/anaesthetics/ICU/disaster medicine or flight medicine to support a UN peacekeeping mission in remote West Africa. Candidates must achieve at least a B2 in English language.
Successful candidates will be working within a team conducting aero emergency medical evacuations via helicopter, based on a secure UN site. Duties may also include delivering first aid training, health and fitness initiatives, sexual health and smoking cessation programmes and risk assessments.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Registered Doctor with current license to practice
- Post Graduate diploma in either Emergency Medicine, Aviation Medicine, Anaesthetics, ICU/ITU, Disaster Medicine or equivalent (obtained in or before 2017)
- Experience in medical evacuations or aviation medicine
- At least a B2 certificate in English language skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Advanced Trauma certificates (ITLS, PHTLS, ATLS or equivalent)
- Computer literate
- High levels of health and fitness
